Saskia Turner


Saskia began as a student at Bodies in Motion Dance School when she was 14yrs old, becoming a student teacher at 15, and then passing her Dance Teaching Certificate with Southern Federation of Dance at 19 years old. Saskia grew up sitting her dance exams with the SFD, receiving Honours with Distinction, the highest mark possible, placing her at the top 1% of students tested nationally.

In 2011, Saskia spent 12 months in Brisbane studying dance fulltime with RAW Dance Company. Here, she studied many subjects such as; jazz, tap, ballet, hip hop, contemporary, break, popping and locking, circus, salsa, gymnastics, Pilates, yoga, nutrition, drama, musical theatre and singing- just to name a few! Saskia had the opportunity to perform with RAW Dance Company on several occasions across Brisbane, as well as learning from some of the best teachers in Australia, such as Jack Chambers and Kelley Abbey. Saskia graduated from RAW Dance Company’s Full-time course with a Cert IV in Dance and Business. She is also a member of the Southern Federation of Dance and Australian Teachers of Dance. Saskia has a passion for all things dance and is committed to sharing this with her students. She believes that dance is a truly beautiful art form and helps to improve creativity, musicality and confidence to both children and adults!

Abby Day


Abby has been dancing since she was 6 years old and during that time has developed a huge passion for both performing and teaching. Abby believes the most rewarding part of being a dance teacher is the opportunity to learn from your students and tell stories through different dance styles. Abby is currently studying a Bachelor of Education and enjoys putting her teaching knowledge into her dance classes. She is also a teacher aide at Mossman Primary School where she co-teaches the dance program.

Prue Borzi


Prue has been dancing for over 35 years. She started dancing when she was 5 years old, and continued throughout her teenage years studying ballet, tap, jazz, afro, funk and hip hop under the Norwest College of Dance in NSW. She holds a Certificate of Dance Teaching from the Queensland University of Technology and has also completed the Southern Federation of Dance Teaching Certificate. Prue was the principal of Bodies in Motion from 2001-2011. Prue has a passion for teaching and believes that all students can achieve their very best with good technical training, safe dance practices and hard work.

Sharlene Cardilini


Miss Sharlene has been dancing her whole life and currently holds a Diploma of Dance Teaching with the Australian Teachers of Dance Association. After teaching for several years in various studios throughout WA & NT, Sharlene and her partner decided to relocate to Port Douglas where she joined the BIM family. She has a huge passion for dance and is excited to be offering highland dance classes for the very first time here in the Douglas Shire!

Yasmin Croghan

Vocal & Music Teacher

Yasmin has completed a Bachelor of Theatre, specializing in Musical Theatre, at Central Queensland University. Graduating in 2014 with Distinction Yasmin was also the first Theatre student ever to receive the CQU Vice-Chancellors Campus Medal. Yasmin has teaching experience in voice (group and solo), drama, musical theatre, guitar and piano. She has performed in a variety of stage and touring shows, as an actor, singer, director, host and script writer. This includes musicals such as Guys and Dolls, 42nd Street, The Producers, Chicago, Chess and touring shows Safety Circus and Choices. Yasmin currently performs for CQUniversity across Australia and is a part of the Cairns Andrew Sisters tribute act, The Vocalettes. Yasmin is passionate about performing and is looking forward to sharing her experience and knowledge with BIM students again in 2020!

Ruby Brunsdon


Ruby began dancing at age 5 and it has been a huge part of her life ever since. Ruby began her role as an assistant teacher in 2015 and has built fantastic relationships with her students. Ruby has studied many styles of dance over the years, with hip hop in particular being one she excels in. She is excited to share her hip-hop style and knowledge again in her own classes this year. Ruby is looking to further her dance career by attending a full-time course in 2021!

Tilly Ludon


Tilly started her dance journey at BIM back in 2003! She quickly became an assistant teacher and then soon after a senior teacher. She attended multiple conventions and workshops, keen to further her love of dance. In 2009 she relocated to Melbourne to study her Bachelor of Education. Since returning to FNQ, Tilly has started a young family and currently teaches at Mossman State primary school. Tilly is keen to dust off her dancing shoes and combine her love of teaching with dance once again. We are excited to have Tilly’s infectious positive attitude back on the BIM team!

Kate Hall


Kate started dancing at BIM when she was younger and continued her training in Cairns during her teen years. For the past 3 years, Kate has been teaching at a studio in Cairns. Here, she also completed her Certificate IV in Dance Teaching and Management too! Kate has a fantastic energy and we know she is going to bring lots of smiles to little faces through the READY SET DANCE!

Jody Pitt

Office Manager

Jody is a past parent and has been an employee of Bodies in Motion Dance School for the past 19 years and enjoys managing the office and the day to day running of the studio. She has extensive knowledge of all aspects of office & event procedures and will be able to answer most of your queries. Please see Jody for all your enrolment, account and class enquiries.
